“It will also provide in-house maintenance capabilities for our growing fleet of Boeing 737-800 Converted Freighters. These are critical factors for ASL as we continue to grow our fleet in line with customer growth and network requirements.

X-air Services, created in 2009, is located in Brussels and Lille. ASL holds a 50% stake, with the remainder held by Sabena Technics.

“We have enjoyed an excellent working partnership and this acquisition facilitates the business strategies of ASL and Sabena TTechnics in the years to come,” added Grant.

“This will be a seamless transaction and it will be business as usual at X-air. Our goal is to grow and grow the business and drive it forward in line with ASL’s overall maintenance strategy.
